MYSTERY MAN TO ATTEND GATELY’S FUNERAL

The Bulgarian man who found Stephen Gately’s body is reportedly set to attend the Boyzone singer’s funeral on Saturday.

According to reports, Georgi Dochev (25) was in the bedroom with Gately’s husband Andrew Cowles while Gately slept on the couch. The next day, Dochev discovered that the singer was dead.

The Daily Mail has reported that Dochev said that he would fly to Ireland with his boyfriend to attend the funeral, admitting that this could prove to be controversial.

Dochev, who claims to be traumatised by the incident, has thus far refused to discuss the events of the night spent with Gately and his boyfriend but is said to be negotiating to sell his story to the tabloids.

It has been speculated that Dochev was invited to the house for a threesome after he met the couple at a gay nightclub. Gately was in Majorca on holiday with his husband.

It has also been reported that Gateley’s band mates Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy have decided to stand vigil overnight in the church along with the singer’s body tonight.

Officials believe that Gately died of natural causes. While toxicology reports are still outstanding, they believe that neither drugs nor alcohol played any part in Gately’s death.
