STRAIGHT COUPLE SUE OVER GAY CRUISE

Advertorial

A straight Italian couple is suing a cruise line after they apparently were not told that they had booked their holiday on a gay cruise, reports the Daily Mail.

The Grimaldi Lines cruise was Italy’s first gay cruise and featured numerous gay themed events during its three day duration.

The couple, described as middle-aged, arrived at the port to board the vessel and found numerous news crews covering its launch.

They boarded thinking that the fuss was due to someone famous being on board, but soon discovered that the ship had in fact been allocated to 1,500 gay passengers.

The couple said that they were further embarrassed to come across people they didn’t know were gay on board and are demanding £2,800 in compensation from Grimaldi.

The lawyer representing the couple insists that they are not motivated by homophobia, but simply that it is a matter of “lost satisfaction”.
