An online video in which True Blood star Anna Paquin says she is bisexual has generated so much traffic that it caused the website hosting it to crash.
The video is part of singer Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors Fund’s ‘Give a Damn’ campaign which aims to educate straight people about gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality.
In the video – which also features Elton John, Kim Kardashian, Whoopi Goldberg and Cynthia Nixon – Paquin (27) says: “I’m bisexual and I give a damn.”
“Anna Paquin’s honesty and openness about being bisexual generated huge news coverage and as a result we were slammed at a pace that we could not keep up with – even after adding two additional servers,” said Give a Damn.
Paquin, who plays the role of Sookie Stackhouse in the hit television vampire drama, is engaged to her male co-star in the series, Stephen Moye.
