PORN POLICEMAN KEEPS LICENSE

A former gay porn actor turned policeman in the US has been allowed to keep his police certification.

Michael Verdugo was suspended in 2008 from a Florida police department after it came to light that he had appeared in the explicit 1996 S&M video Rope Rituals when he was 22 years old.

Last week the Florida Department of Law Enforcement voted to reinstate the thirty six year old’s police certification, which would allow him to work again as a police officer.

“We won,” Verdugo told The Miami Herald.”They voted unanimously. We’re done. My certification stands. I’m happy. Shocked in a good way.”

Verdugo is awaiting the start of a court case against the Hollywood, Florida Police Department later this year in a bid to get his job back.

The department said that they fired Verdugo not because he appeared in the film but because he lied by not including this fact in his job application.
