Danny Miller
A straight actor who plays a gay role in the British soap series Emmerdale has been targeted in a homophobic attack.
Nineteen year old Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Livesy, was reportedly chased through the streets of Manchester and punched by a mob of men.
One of the attackers is alleged to have said before the attack: “There’s that gay lad off the telly – let’s fucking get him.”
Another is said to have screamed: “Oi faggot, is that your boyfriend?”
Commenting on Twitter, Miller said: “I was attacked by a couple of lads tonight but escaped unharmed. I just didn’t want people worrying.”
He also confirmed that the attack was connected to his character, adding: “It was Emmerdale-related.”
