AIRLINE LAUNCHES GAY WEDDING COMPETITION

Advertorial

A Scandinavian airline has launched a competition for a couple to take part in the first-ever same-sex wedding in the air.

SAS airline said that it planned to hold the ceremony on a flight from Stockholm to New York in December.

The couple will win an exclusive wedding and honeymoon package, including business class flights, three nights at a luxurious New York hotel and flights to Los Angeles for three more nights at an exclusive Hollywood hotel.

“SAS is the national airline of three of the world’s most liberal and progressive countries in the world, especially when it comes to LGBT rights, so we feel this is a natural celebration of love,” Robin Kamark, Chief Commercial Officer of SAS, told PinkPaper.com.

SAS is the flag carrier of Norway and Sweden, where same-sex marriage is legal, as well as Denmark, where civil unions have been legalised.

To qualify for the “Love is In the Air” competition, couples must create a profile on the airline’s site and say why they deserve to win the prize. The public will then vote for their favourite couple.
