A US judge has been accused of recommending the “corrective rape” of lesbian soldiers in the military, reports The Raw Story website.
It’s been claimed that in an article published on the conservative news site The Daily Caller, part time magistrate and former veteran Joe Rehyansky wrote that “Lesbians should be allowed to serve, gay men should not…”
He allegedly went on to say that his proposed policy “would get the distaff part of our homosexual population off our collective ‘Broke Back,’ thus giving straight male GIs a fair shot at converting lesbians and bringing them into the mainstream”.
These statements have apparently since been removed from the article.
Under the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, law gays and lesbians are currently banned from serving in the US military unless they keep their sexuality secret.
