LGBT BEERS LAUNCHED IN MEXICO

A small Mexican brewery has sold out of its two newly launched beer brands that are aimed exclusively at the LGBT community.

The Minerva brewery has created Purple Hand Beer and Salamandra Cerveza Artesinal, described as “Artisan Honey-Ales” brewed with 100% organic honey and malt.

“We’ve received a lot of criticism about whether we were excluding heterosexuals, and yes, it is a product directed exclusively to the LGBT community,” the company’s Darío Rodríguez Wyler told Hispanically Speaking News.

“It’s been a great challenge, they tell us we are very brave for developing in México the first drink directed exclusive for such an interesting and badly tended to community,” he said.

The beers have a citrus flavour which, the company said, appeals to the taste of the LGBT community.
