BERLUSCONI REJECTS GAY MARRIAGE
Scandal-ridden Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has said that he will not allow Italian gays to marry or adopt.
Berlusconi (74) made the comments in a speech at a Catholic conference in Milan.
“Gays will never have marriages equal to traditional family values because there is only one family,” he said.
He went on to add: “This government will not allow singles or gays to adopt.”
In November last year, Berlusconi angered the country’s gay community by stating that “it’s better to be passionate about beautiful girls than be gay”.
He was referring to his ongoing scandal and criminal charges that he paid for sex with an underage girl and illegal used his authority to cover it up.
He has also been accused of having trysts and orgies with young women as well as paying for them to have plastic surgery. His prostitution trial is set to start next month.
