RICKY MARTIN KEEPS DEAL WITH TARGET

While Lady Gaga canned her deal with US retail giant Target over its support of anti-gay politicians, openly gay star Ricky Martin is still in business with the company.
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Martin, along with Jennifer Hudson, recently performed for 10,000 Target store managers at a company conference.
The singer also has a deal with Target to sell an exclusive special edition of his new album Música + Alma + Sexo.
It was a similar deal which Gaga negotiated with the company but then cancelled when she claimed Target went back on its commitment to stop financially supporting anti-gay groups.
“I am happy to partner with Target – a company that not only embraces a wide variety of music and cultures, but also has a long history of giving back to communities,” Martin said in January when he signed the agreement.
Martin was honoured at the GLAAD Media Awards on Sunday for making “a significant difference in promoting equality for the LGBT community”.
The singer has not yet commented on the issue.
No but yeah but no but. One has to remember that Ricky Martin most probably needs the dough where as Mama Monster doesn’t, especially after that horrible new song of his was released. What a let down.

How many of us can say we never once hid our sexuality in order to benefit financially?… this is not so different, he needs to do what he needs to do to get his career back on track… Gaga may not have been so principled if she wasn’t raking in the millions she is right now…
