GAGA REVEALS ALBUM COVER

Many Lady Gaga fans have expressed disappointment at the newly-revealed cover for her second album, Born This Way.

The black and white surreal image, conceived by Gaga collaborator Nick Knight, depicts the singer as half woman, half motorcycle. Only her lips are bright red.

The picture was posted on Twitter by the star herself, who tweeted, “Can’t believe it’s here! So happy+free to finally share this w you”.

Many of Gaga’s ‘monsters’ were, however, less than impressed with the image, complaining in messages on her official site.

“No. This better be fake. Because I’m not okay with it,” said one, while another commented “God, I don’t like this as a cover.. please no.”

Born This Way is the follow-up to Gaga’s album The Fame (2008) and special edition EP The Fame Monster (2009) which have collectively sold almost 20 million copies worldwide.

The new album is set to be released on 23 May in the US. A South African release date has not yet been confirmed.
