There are unconfirmed reports that Aussie superstar and gay icon Kylie Minogue will perform in South Africa in July.
According to various media sources, online ticket site Computicket this week listed four concerts of Minogue’s Aphrodite-Les Folies World Tour.
Two performances are apparently set to take place at the Sun City Superbowl on 8 and 9 July and two shows are scheduled for the Grand Arena at Cape Town’s Grand West on 13 and 14 July.
There has been no official confirmation of the shows and there is no mention of a South African leg of the tour on Minogue’s website. The Computicket listing also appears to have been removed.
Channel24 reported today that a press release on the shows is expected to be released tomorrow.
If the news about the concerts are correct, this would be the first time that Minogue will perform in South Africa.
The Aphrodite-Les Folies tour is in support of the star’s most recent Aphrodite album which debuted in the top ten of the album charts in over fifteen European countries and number one on the European Top 100 Albums chart. It was her fifth album to reach number one in the UK.
