A new British documentary has claimed that police have interviewed two of murder accused Shrien Dewani’s former gay lovers and that he never had sex with his murdered wife.

The documentary, by the Dispatches investigative current affairs programme, is titled Murder on Honeymoon and was broadcast on Monday by Channel 4.

It looks at the murder of Dewani’s wife Anni while the couple were on honeymoon in South Africa following an arranged marriage in the UK.

Dewani has consistently claimed that they were victims of a random hijacking but South African authorities believe that he paid local thugs to have her murdered.

One theory for his possible motive is that Dewani is gay and wanted to find a way out of the marriage without getting a divorce.

The documentary asserts that in addition to the rent boy known as the “The German Master”, who was previously reported about by the media, police have interviewed another man also said to be one of Dewani’s male lovers.

It further claims that the newly-married couple never had sex, even on their wedding night. Text messages from Anni before her murder apparently described Shrien as “a monster”.

The British media this week reported that police are also investigating the possibility that Dewani, who is facing extradition to South Africa, previously visited a gay leather and fetish bar in Vauxhall, South London.

Shrien has denied that he is gay or that he was involved in his wife’s murder.
