An American television weatherman has been found sleeping in a bathtub along with the body of a dead man wearing nothing except a dog collar.
Brett Cummins (33), a meteorologist at KARK-TV In Little Rock, Arkansas, reportedly spent the night doing drugs and drinking at the home of Christopher Barbour (36) along with a third man, Dexter Williams (24).
Barbour told police that all three ended up in the bathtub but at some point he went to a bedroom and fell asleep.
“Mr. Barbour stated that he was not sure of the drugs that they were using but that they were snorting them,” officers said in the police report. “He also said that they consumed alcohol in a hot tub”.
In the morning Barbour heard loud snoring from the bathroom and found Cummins asleep in the empty tub with the apparently dead Williams next to him.
When Cummins was woken by Barbour and they could not revive Williams he became ill, left the bathroom and vomited on the carpet.
“The subject was lying on his right side in a fetal position, his face was blue and purple in color with a chain around his neck,” said police.
The police were called and questioned the two men but, at this point, no foul play is suspected.
ARK-TV anchor Bob Clausen later told viewers that “our meteorologist Brett Cummins was at the home at the time of the death and we felt we should share this with you…”
He added: “Brett will not be on the air while he is mourning the loss of his friend. Our thoughts naturally are with Brett and of course with the family and friends of Dexter Williams.”
