CHER CHEERS CHAZ ON

Cher has kept her promise and was in this week’s Dancing with the Stars audience to cheer on her son Chaz Bono.

The iconic singer smiled broadly and clapped enthusiastically after Bono’s performance of the Paso Doble with his partner Lacey Schwimmer on Monday night.

“OMG! I WAS CRYING ! WASN’T EXPECTING 2 B SO NERVOUS ! BROKE MY BRACELET CLAPPING ! IM SO PROUD !! CHAZ WAS GREAT!” tweeted Cher after the show.

She went on to say: “Last nite was GLORIOUS 4 me ! When Chaz 1st. decided 2 make the Transition I had fear, confusion & yes a little sadness, BUT LAST NITE I looked up at him brave! Giving 1001% & I thought ! U R BRAVE STRONG FEARLESS & LOVING PERSON BUT WHAT MOST IMPORTANT.. U R HAPPY!”

Perhaps inspired by his mother’s presence, Bono’s performance was an improvement on the previous week, ensuring that he stays in the competition for another week.

Cher added that she might well make another appearance on the show to support her son.

Bono is the first-ever transgender contestant to take part in Dancing with the Stars.
