American wrestler and celebrity Hulk Hogan is suing his ex-wife for claiming that he abused her and that he had an affair with another male wrestler

Hogan (58), whose real name is Terrance Gene Bollea, became a wrestling star in the eighties and went on to act in movies, television shows, starred in his own reality TV series and even released a CD.

In her recent book, Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against The Ropes, Hogan’s ex-wife Linda claims that he physically attacked her during arguments.

In interviews promoting the book she also said that he had a sexual relationship with wrestle Brutus Beefcake.

“After the four-year crazy divorce I thought I’d heard everything I could hear in the courtroom. Then, all of a sudden she says I abused her, that I was violent. She told everybody that I was a homosexual,” Hogan commented to US Weekly.

“If any of that was true, I would admit it, and (if) I was a homosexual I would embrace it. It’s just so crazy to hear, so I have a real problem with it… If you’re going to say I’m something that I’m not to try to ruin my career and my livelihood… I have to answer her back. It’s so ridiculous. I don’t mean to laugh about it, because it’s not funny. But it’s insane. It doesn’t make any sense to me.”

Hogan has now filed a defamation lawsuit against Linda.

Speaking to the St. Petersburg Times, Hogan’s lawyer, Wil Florin, said: “He’s being accused of all sorts of vile conduct that he did not commit. Miss Bollea’s made enough of these outrageous allegations that it’s time they stop. The only realistic way of making them stop is through the court system.”
