LINDSAY LOHAN TO PLAY ELIZABETH TAYLOR?

There are reports that troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is in talks to play the part of the late legendary star Elizabeth Taylor in a TV movie for America’s Lifetime network.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it has “confirmed” that Lohan is in early discussions for the role in a film about Taylor’s tempestuous relationship with ex-husband actor Richard Burton.

Taylor, who died last year, married Burton twice and their romance has become the stuff of legends.

Lohan’s representative told CNN: “We’re not commenting on hearsay or comments made by unnamed sources.”

Lohan (25) recently posed in a photo shoot for Playboy as another Hollywood icon, Marilyn Monroe, for which she was reportedly paid $1 million.

Commentators have scoffed at Lohan’s chances of getting the Taylor role, thanks to her negative public image and her ongoing troubles with drugs, alcohol and the law.

She has also not appeared in any significant film since 2007’s Georgia Rule with Jane Fonda, which was badly received by audiences and critics alike.
