THIS MAN WANTED IN GAY MURDER CASE

Advertorial

Nhlanhla Msimango

Police are on the hunt for this man, Nhlanhla Msimango, in connection with at least one of the recent murders of gay men in Gauteng.

Anyone who has any information about his whereabouts has been asked to contact Captain Happy Vilankulu, from the police task team investigating the spate of attacks, on 082 719 8373.

If anyone has had any previous contact with Nhlanhla through internet dating profiles or otherwise, please contact Shain Germaner on shain.germaner@inl.co.za at The Star, which has been reporting on the murders.

Nhlanhla’s cousin, Phumlani Msimango, was arrested last week and was on Monday charged with housebreaking and robbery with aggravated circumstances related to the murder of Siphiwe Nhlapo.

It is believed that Phumlani has fingered his relative as being the actual murderer in the attack.

Nhlapo was bound and strangled in his Kliptown, Soweto flat in September last year. His murder was similar to those of seven other gay men over the last two years in the province.

It is unclear if the Msimango cousins have been linked to any of the other attacks.

In related news, The Star reported that police are trying to improve the quality of CCTV footage from last month’s murder of Rulov Senekal.

The footage shows two men leaving Senekal’s apartment building in Braamfontein after the murder.
