CHARLIZE THERON HONOURED BY U.S. GAY GROUP

Our very own Charlize Theron was honoured by America’s largest LGBT rights group on Saturday and took the opportunity to praise her co-star’s penis.

Theron was awarded the ‘Ally for Equality Award’ at a gala fundraising Dinner for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) in Los Angeles.

The South African-born star, who recently adopted a baby boy, arrived in a simple black sleeveless dress. She was presented with her award by actor Michael Fassbender, with whom she co-stars in the upcoming film Prometheus.

Speaking about Fassbender’s nude scenes in another recent movie, Shame, Theron joked: “I have to say that I was truly impressed that you chose to play it big. Most other actors would have gone small, trust me. No, I know because I’ve worked with them.”

She went on to add: “Your penis was a revelation. I’m available to work with it any time.”

On a more serious note, Theron also addressed the issue of same-sex marriage.

“Marriage equality is about more than just marriage. It’s about something greater. It’s about acceptance. I will always be your cheerleader and I will always be your friend,” she said.

Theron is a vocal supporter of same-sex marriage and has proclaimed that she will not get married until marriage equality is extended to same-sex couples in the U.S.

The event, which was hosted by comedienne and actress Chelsea Handler, was also attended by special guests True Blood actor Joe Manganiello and the mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa .
