MALE STUDENTS IN SEXUAL HARASSMENT CLAIM

A male student at the University of Pretoria has been granted an urgent restraining order against a fellow male student who he accuses of sexually harassing him.

According to the Beeld newspaper, the fourth year medical student, who says that he is not gay, claims that his classmate first approached him in the campus library last year.

He accused the student of continuing to make advances and declarations of love despite his repeated rejections.

In court documents, he added that the other student had also made threats of physical harm against him on Facebook.

One such message is said to include: “I am going to sit behind you and follow you on campus and in your car… I love you, I am going to stalk you for the next three years… Man bitch! Fag! Weirdo! I’m going to bliksem you!”

The court barred the student, who is apparently being treated by a psychologist, from making an contact with his accuser in person, telephonically or electronically.
