Allegations of actor John Travolta’s infidelities with other men continue to pile up, with a former assistant now coming forward with new claims.

In an interview with the National Enquirer published on Friday, Travolta’s secretary from 1978 to 1994, Joan Edwards, said: “I did everything for him, including taking care of his personal and professional schedules. Of course I knew he was gay. It never bothered me.”

She also claimed that the actor had a six-year gay affair with his pilot Doug Gotterba in the 1980s. “That’s how I met Doug. We both worked for John at the same time. Doug is a wonderful guy and we are still good friends. He told me that John was gay and they had a sexual relationship,” Edwards said.

The story has apparently been backed by Gotterba’s ex boyfriend, Robert Britz, who told the Enquirer: “Doug told me right at the beginning of our relationship that he’d had a homosexual relationship with John Travolta in the 1980s…

“Doug made it clear that it was very lucrative for him to be what he called John’s ‘personal right hand man’ and homosexual partner.”

Britz said that the relationship ended over Travolta’s “hairy body” and weight gain. “After a few years, Doug grew apart from John sexually, and John’s advances eventually started to repulse him. The relationship ended shortly thereafter,” Britz added.

In recent months, Travolta (58), who is married to actress Kelly Preston, has been the subject of numerous allegations of sexual misconduct with other men, mostly masseurs.
