JAMES BOND FLIRTS WITH NEW GAY VILLAIN

Daniel Craig and Javier Bardem in Skyfall

Actor Daniel Craig has spoken about an erotically charged scene he shares with Javier Bardem in the new James Bond movie Skyfall.

Film reviewers have commented on the scene in which Bond is held captive by Bardem’s flamboyant character Silva, who reveals that he’s always been attracted to 007.

Silva caresses the famous British spy’s chest and Bond suggests that he’s had sex with a man before, stating “What makes you think this is my first time?”

As reported by Movieline’s Frank Diagia, the actors were asked about the scene and their characters’ sexuality at a press conference on Monday.

“What are you going to do?”  Craig replied cheekily, adding: “I don’t see the world in sexual divisions.”

He went on to say that the sequence is “a great flirt. It’s a game of cards” and that “I love that scene. It makes me laugh. I hope it makes you laugh”.

Bardem commented that his character’s sexuality “was part of the game, but it’s not entirely the game….it was more about putting the other person in a very uncomfortable situation where even James Bond doesn’t know how to get out of it.”

Back in 2006 it was reported that Craig wanted Bond producers to include a gay scene in one of the 007 films.
