THE WANTED MIGHT HAVE ‘A DABBLE’ WITH GUYS

One of the members of popular UK heartthrob boy band The Wanted has said that some of them might well experiment with other guys.

The band were interviewed on radio in Australia and were asked about a recent comment by openly gay former *NSync member Lance Bass, who said that there was good chance that one of the members of The Wanted’s rival boy band One Direction is gay.

Speaking on the Kyle and Jackie O show, The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness (22) commented: “We heard he has a crazy theory that every boy band has to have one.”

Host Kyle Sandilands then asked the Glad You Came and Chasing the Sun singers: “Which one of you guys? Which one?”

“I think most of us would probably have a dabble, “responded Jay.

While the others laughed, fellow band member Tom Parker (24) quickly quipped “speak for yourself”.

Bass, who spent his time in *NSync in the closet, commented last month about One Direction, saying: “Statistically speaking, one probably is [gay]”

He added: “The market is 100 percent young women and they fantasise about these guys. Then you have the record labels and everyone kind of grooming you to make sure that you don’t even mention that you have a girlfriend.”

Bass is not alone. A number of boy bands have had one of their members come out the closet, including  Jonathan Knight from New Kids On The Block, Ricky Martin from Menudo, Mark Feehily from Westlife and the late Stephen Gately from Boyzone.
