The search to find Mr Gay South Africa 2014 came to a climax on 13 December 2013 at a ceremony at the Cape Quarter in the Mother City.
Twenty-six-year-old cape Town accountant Werner de Waal took home the title and will represent South Africa at the Mr Gay World competition in Rome in August. The first runner up was 38-year-old Helgard Marais from Joburg, while 26-year-old Dannyboy Mlambo from Pretoria took the third spot.
Singer Jacques Terre’Blanche was among the performers who entertained the crowd during the event.
