Lonely gay farmer Giel is closer to finding a boyfriend in the follow-up to the spoof of Afrikaans love match reality show Boer Soek ‘n Vrou (farmer seeks woman/wife).
The original hilarious Boer Soek ‘n Ou (farmer seeks a guy) video became a sensation when it was posted online in November by VrydagNag Laat, a new comedy sketch show on kykNET.
It featured the mielie-munching farmer who was desperate to meet a guy to share his life with.
In the second video, Giel explains that he’s gotten a huge response to his plea for love and he gets to meet three of the contestants for his heart.
Giel welcomes them into his home with, what else but a loaf of mielie bread. It becomes clear that the would-be-beaus are prepared to fight it out to win the young farmer’s love.
