20-year-old ex accused of stalking top gay Hollywood mogul
David Geffen, the legendary 71-year-old openly gay film and music mogul, has taken out a restraining order against his 20-year-old ex, Jamie Kuntz.
Kuntz first made headlines in 2012 when, as an 18-year old university football player, he was thrown off his team after he was seen kissed a much older man during a football match.
He said at the time that he was attracted to older men. “I definitely pursued him. He’s a great guy. I love him,” Kuntz commented.
It turns out that the boyfriend was actually Geffen, the founder of record labels such as Geffen Records in 1980 and DGC Records in 1990 and one of the three founders, along with Steven Spielberg, of the DreamWorks SKG film studio in 1994.
It appears that the relationship has since turned very sour. According to TMZ, Geffen is now accusing the younger man of stalking him.
Kuntz was arrested in October for violating a restraining order and for following, harassing and making a “credible threat” against his ex.
Kuntz’s lawyer said that his client and Geffen had a physical relationship but that the older man didn’t reciprocate his lover’s feeling. He insisted that the alleged stalking was a “misunderstanding.”
Kuntz is expected to appear in court this week. According to Wikipedia, Geffen is worth an estimated $6 billion.
