Mr Gay World 2016 host country revealed
After this year’s successful outing in South Africa, the host country for Mr Gay World 2016 has been announced.
It’s been revealed that the contest will return to Europe next year, taking place in the Mediterranean island country of Malta.
The Mr Gay World organisation said the archipelago’s selection is in the event’s “tradition of taking place at exotic and breathtaking places all over the globe.”
“2016 leads us to the magical island of Malta. Where a rich cultural and historical heritage meets with a modern spirit. Discover the place where Game of Thrones, Popey, Troy, Gladiator and over 50 other movies and TV productions came to life,” said Eric Butter, Mr Gay World President.
The eighth edition of Mr Gay World will take place in this scenic tourist location from the 19th to the 23rd of April 2016.
This 2015 event was co-hosted in Cape Town and Kynsna earlier this year, with Klaus Burkart from Germany winning the title.
Mr Gay World describes itself as an annual search for a global ambassador for the LGBT community.
