Parrot Pride: Hogsback Getaway Weekend

Hogsback in the Eastern Cape will be celebrating pride and diversity with its second annual Parrot Pride celebration.

The event will be a long weekend break, from 18 to 21 March, where the organisers will welcome you with this peaceful mountain village’s small-town warmth.

Parrot Pride brings the local community together to collaborate on an event that promises to be the most vibrant, flamboyant and friendly weekend Pride celebration the Eastern Cape has seen.

LGBT folk, friends and fun-lovers are invited to participate in a jampacked weekend Pride celebration with a difference.

Drag-goddess Roxy Le Roux will be the Queen of the Forest as you are entertained and indulged whilst tickling your every fancy with fine dining, cabaret shows, karaoke, pub prancing, dirty discos, brokeback tea-dance at Terra-Khaya and a champagne breakfast in the stunning Arboretum gardens.

For those who need a rest from the razzle-dazzle, indulge yourself with relaxing massages, guided meditations, lazy mornings in bed, shopping, art galleries, the Eco-Shrine and waterfall walks.

The more adventurous can go Mountain biking, horse riding, abseiling or even try your hand at archery. Hogsback features some of the richest and rarest biodiversity in the country.

This year, Parrot Pride will be offering a great entertainment line up including live music, DJs, drag shows, cabarets and sexy bar staff.
