All of our prayers have been heard! Queen Bey is finally coming to perform in South Africa – but you have to earn your free tickets to see her (and a host of other stars).
Beyoncé, JAY-Z, Cassper Nyovest, D’banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Pharrell Williams, Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher and Wizkid will be some of the many headliners honouring the life of Nelson Mandela.
Thanks to the Motsepe Foundation, these acts will be performing on 2 December at the Global Citizen Festival at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg to support the biggest ever campaign on the Global Goals to end extreme poverty.
The campaign is a response to Nelson Mandela’s call for us to be the generation to end extreme poverty. According to Global Citizens, “artists and leaders will be joined by 100,000 Global Citizens who’ve taken action on the Global Citizen social advocacy platform to earn their free tickets to the festival at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.”
