The nominees for the high-profile 2023 Feather Awards were recently announced at a ceremony at the Firs, in Rosebank, Johannesburg, and it’s a social event all on its own!
Dubbed South Africa’s glitziest, most glamorous, and glittering night of queer celebration the 15th annual Feather Awards will celebrate not only achievers and role models in the LGBTIQ+ community but also our allies and those who’ve entertained us with their antics.
The ceremony saw entertainers, celebrities, inspiring activists, community leaders, and even the Minister of Electricity, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, nominated in several categories.
The winners will be revealed on Thursday, 9th November at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg. For a third consecutive year, the beloved Modiselle sisters – Refilwe, Bontle and Candice – will return as the 2023 hosts.
