MaBlerh Returns to Host Explosive Real Housewives of Durban Reunion

Media personality MaBlerh is back to host the anticipated Real Housewives of Durban Season 5 reunion

Brace yourself, Housewives fans—MaBlerh is back in the hot seat for what promises to be another unforgettable reunion special.

Streaming platform Showmax has confirmed that media personality MaBlerh will return to host the Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) reunion for a third consecutive year, cementing his role as South Africa’s king of Housewives reunions.

“Being back for the third time is an honour I don’t take lightly,” says MaBlerh. “It’s a big job that requires sensitivity, because these ladies are opening up and sharing their lives with us, so some of the topics are deeply personal.”

The announcement follows the dramatic Season 5 finale, which dropped on 13 June and promptly broke the internet. With multiple cast members trending simultaneously, fans couldn’t get enough of the final dinner in Mauritius, where tensions finally boiled over between the ladies.

That dinner ended in chaos when Nonku received an anonymous letter that left her visibly shaken and storming away from the table. The mysterious note, whose author and contents remain undisclosed, has had social media abuzz ever since.

The cliffhanger ending has set the stage for a fiery two-part Real Housewives of Durban reunion, premiering on Showmax on 4 and 11 July 2025.

“This year, I’m making sure that no stone is left unturned. Everyone needs to be held accountable for what they’ve said and done, so we can reach real resolution,” asserts MaBlerh. “Accountability is key. This is not just about drama for the sake of entertainment, it’s about honesty, clarity, and sometimes even healing.”

As the first African host to lead multiple Real Housewives reunions—including RHOD, The Real Housewives of Gqeberha, and The Real Housewives of Johannesburg—MaBlerh brings a rare blend of composure, empathy and incisiveness.

Known for asking the questions fans want answered, he’s made it clear that he’s coming prepared.

“I’m there to represent the viewers. I’ve seen the tweets, I’ve read the comments and concerns – and trust me, everything will be addressed,” he says. “People have been asking the same questions week after week. I hear them. And I’m going to ask those same questions in that reunion chair.”

With fan loyalty at an all-time high, this reunion could be the most emotionally charged yet—and MaBlerh’s steady hand might just be what’s needed to navigate it all.
