Lindsay Lohan’s downward spiral

With Lindsay Lohan’s recent split from DJ Samanth Ronson comes a barrage of drama for the now-pitiful actress/singer/model. First Ronson’s family was spotted at the local police station, seeking advice on a restraining order against the crazed star – who earlier this week tried to crash Sam’s sister’s birthday bash but was denied access by the guards on the family’s orders – to keep Lohan away from Ronson. The star was apparently devastated by the news and is now an emotional wreck, crying uncontrollably. Lohan then set herself up for more humiliation in an exclusive interview with US Weekly, in which she claims to be “so alone” and “everyone’s turned on me.” Ronson has apparently tried to break away from Lohan several times before, but the 22 year old star threatened to kill herself if she did. “She (Ronson) cares about her but wants out,” sources said. “I’m a f__king 22-year-old girl who’s in love,” Lohan says. “I felt like I was in Mean Girls, but worse: Mean Girls was a movie.” At the rate she’s going, the next time we see Lindsay gracing the covers of any mag it will probably be to show off her shiny new bald head…

Ian Somerhalder “vamps” it up

The steamy ex-Lost star is set to reignite his TV career with the upcoming new series Vampire Diaries. The show centres on a girl who falls in love with two vampire brothers; one brother is good, while the other is bad. Somerhalder plays the dark and charming vampire Damon, who has slightly evil tendencies. It shouldn’t be a problem for the actor, who could charm the socks off any unsuspecting ‘victim’ with just a look into those baby-blue eyes.

Eminem’s new vid: Funny or simply Homophobic?

In his latest video for the song We Made You, Eminem once again rips off a cascade of celebrities, including Jessica Simpson, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Aniston and Britney Spears. Also mentioned in the song are Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi, as Eminem sings “Sorry Portia, but what’s Ellen Degeneres have that I don’t, are you telling me tenderness?” He then moves on to the next famous lesbian celebrity couple, Lohan and Ronson, singing, “But Lindsay please come back to seeing men,
Samantha’s a 2, You’re practically a 10.” The song and accompanying video have offended some in the gay community: Does Eminem really think he’s hot enough to turn a lesbian straight?

Keanu Reeves is the latest cover boy for Vogue Hommes International. The Matrix star dons a rugged beard and takes off his shirt for the exclusive shoot, showing the world that, at 44, he’s still got it. “My private life is intimately linked to my working life… I feel I’m moving on to a second phase in my career. That’s quite something,” the actor says of his personal goals in the article.

Zac Efron attacked by Q-tips

Teen sensation Zac Efron was pelted with Q-tips as he was leaving a restaurant with girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens last night. The couple laughed about the incident as they got into their car, but Efron got a bit more serious as he must have realised what sparked the attack. At the 17 Again premiere in London, Efron’s lack of ear-hygiene was brought into the spotlight as pictures of a waxy build-up in his dirty inner-ear were posted all over the internet. Guess that’s a lesson learnt for the young star: if ever you decide to slick your hair back to look smart, make sure you clean your ears the night before.

James Denton to turn gay in Desperate Housewives?

Denton, who plays the plumber Mike in Desperate Housewives, recently poked fun at the show and his character on US comedy Head Case. The show is an improvisational comedy which follows Hollywood therapist Dr. Jane Goode (played by Alexandra Wentworth) as she analyses different guest celebs each week. Denton and fellow Housewives-actor Kevin Rahm as well as creator Marc Cherry were featured on last Friday’s episode, where the trio discussed the possibility of Denton’s character turning gay. In the episode Cherry urges Denton to consider it, but the actor won’t budge as he expresses concerns over what this will do to his future acting career. “It’s not a personal issue for me, but once I go in that [gay] direction, people blur the lines.” Cherry responds, “James, I want to point out at this point that you hosted the Miss America pageant. I think that any hope for a glorious future career is over.” All too true for the actor, who might actually revive the ailing plot of Housewives by adding a much needed gay-twist.

Rupert Everett: Gays having babies is “Egocentric and vain”

“I think this surrogacy thing is crap. It is utterly hideous. I think it’s egocentric and vain. And these endless IVF treatments people go through. I mean, if you are meant to have babies then great. But this whole idea of two gay guys filling a cocktail shaker with their sperm and impregnating some grim lesbian and then it gets cut out is just really weird. If I did have the impulse to be a parent, I would adopt—or foster. But this whole thing of forcing the idea of parenthood on us gay men is so bogus. Marriage? Babies? Please. I want to be illegal. I want to live outside the mainstream,” Everett recently told The Daily Beast. Perhaps the proudly-gay star should move to Iraq, where being gay is not only illegal, but punishable by death.

Madge faces more mama-drama

The alleged father of Mercy, the Malawian baby Madonna attempted to adopted, wants the child back. James Kambewa claims that he didn’t know he had a daughter until he heard about it on the news. The family of Mercy’s mother however are furious at James, who impregnated the teenage girl and left her soon after. Mercy’s mother died eight days after giving birth, and James did not even attend the funeral. Madonna, who flew back to the UK on Monday, was denied the adoption rights because she did not meet the requirement of living in the country for 18-24 months prior to the adoption. She intends to appeal the court’s decision. The emotional material girl was spotted out at dinner commiserating with designer pal Stella McCartney in London.
