To promote Ryan Reynolds’ latest rom-com, The Proposal, the movie’s producers decided that the less clothes he had on, the more the film would sell. They were right… Glimpses of Ryan’s naked bum have given us a reason to go see the film. Smart people. The film’s publicity team have followed this up with a cover story for Ryan in Entertainment Weekly, where he gets to shed his shirt and show off his sexy abs for the exclusive photo shoot.

Portia and Ellen don’t wanna be mamas

Happily married couple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi say they don’t plan on having little ones anytime soon. “Portia’s brother and his wife just had a baby girl who’s a month old now, and it’s fun to be a part of that. But no, I think, you know, we definitely thought about it. And it’s something I think most people, as a relationship goes on, explore. But it’s just a huge responsibility, and I don’t know that that’s something we want to take on. We’re very happily married without children,” Ellen said. Also, “we have animals, and we love them,” she says. “They don’t talk back, and they don’t explore their vocal chords out in public.” It’s kind of sad to think that Portia’s good-looks gene might never be passed on…

Antonio Banderas on kissing guys

Antonio Banderas recently discussed his man-on-man kissing scene in the 1987 film Law of Desire with PopWatch. “The scenes I did with [director Pedro] Almodovar in the 80’s were very tough to play at the time. It was not common for actors to play gay. I felt very early on in my professional life that where there were limits, there shouldn’t have been limits. I remember in Law of Desire, where I played a homosexual, that people were more upset that I kissed a man on the mouth than I killed a man. It’s interesting to see how people can pardon you for murdering a man, but they can’t pardon you for kissing one. It’s a very interesting approach to morality in our days, so you see there is an incredible amount of hypocritical judgment over those things.” Well, since people have become more tolerant in the Noughties, perhaps Antonio wouldn’t mind giving another gay kissing scene a whirl?

Jada and Will aren’t gay ok?

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett claim to be tired of the rumours that their marriage is fake and that they are both gay. “I’ve heard all the things — their marriage is not real, he’s gay, she’s gay, they swing. But at the end of the day, people have to believe what they have to believe. … One thing Will and I are not here to do, is like, what’s real for us is what’s real for us, so you can either get on that bandwagon or not. I’ll tell you what, it’s too hard to be in a pretend marriage. Life’s too short for that one,” Jada told an Atlanta radio show. To cast doubt on the rumours even further, Jada has revealed some secrets from her sex life by giving advice to others on where to do the dirty deed in order to spice things up a bit…”Be sneaky… your girlfriend’s house at a party. The bathroom. A bedroom.” And she admits she’s often got sex on the brain and she’s usually the one to surprise her man: “Pull over on the side of the road… Think of places outside that are comfortable to have sex.”

The boys strip at directors’ pool party

Openly gay directors Bryan Singer (the first two X-Men films and Superman Returns) and Roland Emmerich hosted a post LA Pride bash at Roland’s five-acre estate with a Jaws theme. Hundreds of buff gay men – most of them probably wannabe actors – turned up, and stripped to their Speedos. Seemingly all of them attempted to take a dip in The Day After Tomorrow director’s pool – all at the same time. In keeping with the theme, the pool water was a bloody red. Apparently the after-party was clothing-optional…

Milk-writer’s shady sex partner revealed

Dustin Lance Black’s dodgy sex-tape pictures have no doubt been scrutinised by many ever since being released online, and it was only a matter of time before the identity of the Oscar-winner’s lover was discovered. Meet Jeff DeLancy, or “Cameron”, as he is known on FratBoyCam.com. The Arizona State University student apparently sells webcam sessions of himself, and is known for his affinity for older sugar daddies. Dustin admitted that they were dating at the time, but probably regrets it now because of all the flack he’s receiving over the condom-less sex video.

Posh’s third boob job

Victoria Beckham has recently had her third breast procedure, claims The Sun. This time, she reduced her 34DD’s down to 34B, making her body slightly more in proportion. Victoria apparently had the procedure done in LA and is recovered in France. The tabloid claims that the reason behind the reduction was because she felt it would be more appropriate as a mother and fashion designer… (But hasn’t she been a mother for quite some time now?) She’s also apparently ditched the overly fake tan, opting for a more natural look.

True Blood hotties and a few spoilers…

True Blood actor Nelsan Ellis’ flamboyantly fierce gay alter-ego Lafayette has been spared from the cutting block, as the show’s second season premiere in the US shocked many with the survival of the popular character. Despite going against the original plot in Charlaine Harris’ books, series creator Alan Ball had apparently decided early on that Lafayette was here to stay. “When I first started it was only a one-year contract, so I thought I was a goner after the 12th episode. In fact, (Alan) didn’t tell me that he was bringing me back until after the table read for (the season one finale). He was like, ‘You know we’re not killing you, right?’ And I was like, ‘I didn’t know but thanks for telling me,’” Ellis told EW.com. Ryan Kwanten’s sexy character Jason Stackhouse also has a complex plotline in the second season, as the womanising addict latches onto religion, and gets ready to reveal all… “Let’s just say Jason can’t keep his clothes on for too long,” creator Alan says. We’ll definitely be glued to our screens for the upcoming season.

First look at Burton’s Wonderland

The first few glimpses of Tim Burton’s vision for his adaptation of Alice in Wonderland have been released, showing that Burton has stuck to his unique style and made it all a bit… wacky. The images, while extremely bright and colourful, hint at a more sinister Wonderland than what the kids are used to. Johnny Depp (left) and Helena Bonham Carter, who play the Mad Hatter and Red Queen of Hearts respectively, look as sinister as always, while Anne Hathaway seems almost angelic as the white Queen of Hearts. Most impressive though was the excellent casting of Little Britain’s Matt Lucas as the roles of Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Burton seems to have moved on from a child-friendly tale to something a bit more dark and adult, and it certainly does build up anticipation for the film’s 2010 release.
