The Daily Star reports that singers George Michael and Boy George have ended a feud that spanned 25 years.

The two stars had a fallout and stopped speaking in the 1980’s when George criticised Michael for refusing to come out of the closet at the peak of his success.

“People saw me as the benchmark queer while George Michael was passing himself off as a straight stud,” said George in 2005.

“In fact, he was loitering in public loos like some pre-war homosexual. It’s one thing to keep quiet. It’s another to pretend you’re someone you’re not,” he added.

According to the tabloid, the former Culture Club front man has now revealed: “We have exchanged emails and things are pretty good between us. We’ve ‘spoken’ a couple of times and he seems to be doing OK.”

Michael, who headed up Wham before launching a solo career, only came out publicly in 1998 after he was arrested for public lewdness when he was caught cruising for sex in a Los Angeles park.

Both stars have faced troubles over illegal drug use, and George – who is about to release a new single – spent four months in jail in early 2009 after he was found guilty of holding a rent boy captive in his London apartment.
