A 15 year old lesbian teenager, known only as Sarah, as has won Denmark’s hit version of the X Factor talent contest.
British band Take That joined Sarah on stage as she beat two other finalists to take the top prize, including a coveted recording contract.
Described as having a husky voice and sporting a blonde crew cut, Sarah came out to the public in the audition phase of the show and soon became a favourite of the judges and the audience.
Her classmates, mother and girlfriend were interviewed by the show – all expressing their support for the singer.
In the finale at Parken Stadium, in front of 40,000 people, Sarah sang her version of Lady Gaga’s Poker Face, but changed the pronouns from male to female in the lyrics.
