. Pic 16 – Wow that ‘treasure trail’ is the best I have ever seen!
. yeah, agree @ ian ,that treasure trail is da best one i hav seen in a long time! yum yum
. Was the best ever I attended…just a observation….only 3 pics of people of colour from the 29 pictures taken..or am I making sumting out of nothing…??
. and we fucking go again….
. no need to be swearing dude! just a question! cpt is so know for racism, so it does not come as a surpise to me….if the shoe fits, well…
. were you actually there? its was actually quite representative. as far as i could tell everybody was having a mighty fine time!
i think who really should be taken to task here is Mamabaonline. they choose the pictures that go onto this website and maybe it is on purpose to spark debates and racist spats but these pictures do not represent the party i was at! yes there were different areas where it was more black or more white but in general it was pretty mixed.
and not to sound like a cliche or stupid stereotype but i was there with my coloured friends and my indian boyfriend and yes, im a white guy. we all had a great time!
. noted fellow country man. yup, maybe we should ask mamabonline as this happens every year. i bet they sure as hell wanna have this unnecessary fued between races! happy that yall had fun bro!
. You would be saying that. I’m so white, but could not help to notice the absence of people of colour..We are the minority in Cape Town.. Stop pretend that there is no racism in the Gay Community.. I think it is high time that we as white gay people acknowledge that and try to change it..
. my sentiments exactly! not one bit surprised…..
. are there any non-whites in cpt? *just asking…as there’s not a single face in these pic’s…
. I wonder where are the rest of races.. I see white only!!
. we are just not “brave”enough to admit that racism is so wild in SA! if you look at the club scene for example, one can clearly see that there’s not a single club in my opinion, where u’d fine a complete balance. it’s either predominantly white or predominantly black! we sure have a long way to go!
. all i see is stereotypes – not one single original thought to be seen
. Whr I’m my blc brothers n sisters????????? I see whites yho !!!!! Jhb is way better than wht I’m seeing on thise pics. Jhb u see all people its a pride, I don’t know wht I’m seeing here…..
. Must you all be so negative? There were many different races there, celebrating together. Don’t start with the racism again.
. Yes I agree black gays must come out pls your millions….and we all know it…hello!
. And it just shows that the annual mini parade reflects small CT community . Come on organizers look to JHB for guidance and how to unite the communities at large so that we have a platform to have decent listed corporate financial help . Was it financial viable, success or did the committee run at a further loss again .Sad though … YUSOOF
. OMG !!! I WOULD LOVE TOO MEET THE GUY ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE FREAKEN HOT *wink*
. It seems to me that the subject of the photos often is a reflection of the photographer’s preferences. This particular photographer has a penchant for white twinks. This event was very mixed as other online albums show. Others were less so, according to what the event was.I agree that Mamba’s photo editor should perhaps take more care
. I really don’t wish to insult Simon, the photographer of these 2012 Cape Town Gay Pride photographs BUT they are not really an accurate representation of CT 2012 Pride. I was there and as a novice photographer I captured some stunning images with the lens of my ‘happy-snappy’ camera. Where can I post these photographs of mine so as to share them with others? Hugs, Magic Mary. XX
