ROSIE O’DONNELL HAS TIED THE KNOT

American comedienne, actress and talk show host Rosie O’Donnell (50) has revealed that she quietly married her partner Michelle Rounds after Rounds was diagnosed with a rare cancer.

The couple announced their engagement in December and had arranged to marry in August this year.

When Rounds was diagnosed with desmoid tumors, they decided to get hitched earlier than planned in a private ceremony in New York on June 9.

“She had several gastrointestinal surgeries to remove the desmoid turmors. [Rounds] is now on the road to recovery,” O’Donnell’s representative Cindi Berger told PEOPLE magazine.

Writing on her blog, O’Donnell explained further: “We married in private before [Rounds’s] surgery, just the [two] of us. When we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish.”

O’Donnell has also suffered her own health woes of late. She recently announced that she had suffered a heart attack earlier this month, saying it was a miracle that she didn’t die.

O’Donnell was previously married to Kelli Carpenter with whom she four children, three adopted and one through artificial insemination.
