FIREFIGHTERS IN TROUBLE OVER SPOOF VIDEO
A group of French firefighters are in trouble for making a fun parody video to Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen’s smash hit Call Me Maybe.
The song has over the last couple of years spawned a number of spoof videos (based on a Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders clip) featuring shirtless men in uniform around the world, including the US marines and the Royal Engineers.
In the French version, the dozen or so firefighters from the city of Lille hammed it up in their barracks, in the showers and on their fire engine – at times half-naked – to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
Their bosses, however, are not impressed and have insisted that it was not appropriate to depict the fire department in “a funny” way and that it was unacceptable to have used official equipment and property for the video.
There’s no word if the guys will face disciplinary action, but we reckon that it really was all in good fun.

Poor boys. If they get fired, I am willing to offer a home to all of them
I think this video is cool. It reminds me of the one where the us army guys do the sam thing to the same song in iraq. Quite cute
