American heartthrob Josh Hartnett has wowed his gay fans after he unexpectedly kissed fellow actor Reeve Carney in the horror TV show Penny Dreadful.
In the fifth episode of the eight part series, Hartnett’s daring man of action Ethan Chandler dramatically grabs Carney’s Dorian Gray for a passionate man on man kiss.
The men then start disrobing as they move in for a series of more tender and intimate smooches.
The scene apparently caught fans of the show somewhat by surprise, seeing as Hartnett’s character had previously only had female lovers.
Set in Victorian England, Penny Dreadful features a number of legendary literary characters, including Dorian Gray, Victor Frankenstein, Van Helsing and vampires and werewolves.
While we hadn’t been following the show before, we think now might be a good time to start.
Penny Dreadful is on M-Net on Fridays at 22:30.
