UFC FIGHTER BENDS OVER FOR GAY RIGHTS
American mixed martial artist and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight Kyle Kingsbury found a unique way to stand up, or rather bend over, for gay rights.
During a weigh-in ahead of his fight against Patrick Cummins in San Jose on Saturday night, the 33-year-old Kingsbury stripped down to his underwear, as is usually the case in such events.
Fans, however, were probably taken aback that not only was his underwear in a light shade of pink but as he bent over, he proudly displayed the words “legalize gay” on the rear.
Kingsbury held the pose for a few seconds to make sure his statement was seen.
Sadly, Kingsbury, who previously appeared in TV’s The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir, lost the fight and announced his retirement from the sport.
It’s not clear exactly what prompted the fighter’s display of LGBT solidarity, but it’s one we certainly do appreciate. Check out some gifs of Kingsbury at the weigh-in below (courtesy of 827.tumblr.com).
