JK Rowling shocked by Neville Longbottom’s racy undie shoot
Harry Potter’s awkward geeky mate is all grown up and flaunting his manly bulges in the pages of UK gay mag Attitude.
Matthew Lewis, who starred as Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, appears in the publication wearing little more than his underwear.
Not only has he developed a pleasing manly spread of hair but he’s also filled out in all the right places.
In the interview, the 25-year-old actor opens up about his physical transformation and his new role in the upcoming romantic drama Me Before You.
Matthew played Longbottom in eight Harry Potter movies from an early age and had to wear padding, false teeth and prosthetics for the role.
Harry Potter creator JK Rowling expressed her mock-shock at seeing the buff star letting it all hang out in the photo spread.
She tweeted to Attitude that it wasn’t “as bad as watching Dan in Equus, but close.” (Fellow Potter star Daniel Radcliffe appeared nude in the 2007 West End production of the play Equus.)
“Warn me next time, for God’s sake,” she added.
Matthew responded to the author on Twitter, commenting: “Well, this is awkward. Sorry, Jo…”
We all knew he could act, but we too were surprised to discover that Matthew had other ample talents.
Check out the interview in the June issue of Attitude.
