Congratulations! Former Getroud Met Rugby actor Armand Aucamp has married his fiancé, fellow actor Sean van Noordwyk, in a ceremony in the Western Cape.

Armand made the announcement on his social media platforms on Wednesday, revealing that the two men had tied the knot on the 19th of December. “Just married… Mr & Mr Aucamp-van Noordwyk,” he wrote.

The couple got married at the Picardi Place venue near Rawsonville in front of a small group of friends and family.

Photos posted on Instagram show the couple wearing casual linen attire in creams and green at the intimate wedding.

In November, the lovebirds spoke with Huisgenoot about their romance, revealing that they had gotten engaged under the Eiffel Tower in Paris on New Year’s Eve in 2022.

They first met in 2018 while working at a concert in Pretoria, but it was only when they played on-screen lovers in the 2021 Afrikaans film Foto’s Teen die Muur that love blossomed.

Sarie Trou will feature a full article on the wedding in a 22 March edition of the magazine.

In addition to his role in Getroud Met Rugby, Armand is also known for starring in the likes of Sterlopers, Ballade vir ‘n Enkeling, and Die Boekklub.

He’s also published a cookbook, Armand Kook Kaal (Cooking Naked with Armand), and hosted a cooking show on the Afrikaans lifestyle channel, VIA.

Armand came out as gay in 2019, telling MambaOnline at the time that he refused to stay in the closet for the sake of his career.

“I absolutely adore what I do, but I must live first and foremost; to my full, authentic self,” he said.

“I have a lot of compassion and empathy for artists and public figures who are too afraid to come out, but the more we refrain from doing so, the longer it is going to take to make it acceptable. And what is worse, one loses valuable time to live fully,” Armand added.
