After the Johannesburg Pride march returned to the Pride Village in Sandton, the day shifted from activism to elation. The streets came alive with laughter, music, and movement as thousands celebrated being seen, heard, and free.
This second collection of images captures the intimate and exuberant moments that defined the post-march celebration. Couples danced beneath Pride flags, drag performers dazzled on stage, and allies of all ages joined in a shared expression of love and visibility.
It was a moment when every person, regardless of identity or background, could simply exist — proudly and without fear. Despite the tensions and debates that preceded the event, the spirit on the ground was one of joy and affirmation.
