Star Trek hunks stripped down
Who said sci-fi is just for geeks? Check out the handsome duo Chris Pine (left) and Zachary Quinto in the latest blockbuster Star Trek movie. You may be pleased to know that while their intergalactic characters seem very heterosexual, the two actors don’t have any problem revelling in some on-screen man-on-man action. Zachary starred as a gay man in the 2006 sitcom So NoTORIous –in which he greedily snogged another guy in a sauna, while Chris also played gay in the 2006 made-for-television film Surrender Dorothy, in which he too locked lips with a man. We look forward to seeing the new Captain Kirk and Mr Spock boldly going where no man has gone before for many years to come…
Beckham ventures into the fashion world
David Beckham has teamed up with boutique owner James Bond for a fall-winter men’s collection for Adidas Originals by Originals. Unfortunately David won’t be using his gorgeous bod for the designs due to his Adidas endorsement, but the steamy male models they’ve used should satisfy the eye-candy quota. Fashion designer, perfume creator, model, Sex God… It seems as if Beckham’s ball-kicking days are long gone. Not that we’re complaining…
Gossip Girl’s man-couple split
Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford, stars of the American series Gossip Girl, who AREN’T gay (or so they insist), are ending their mutual living arrangement. “[The rumors are] Fucking ridiculous! It’s funny because I love this fucking dude dearly. I would die for this fucking dude. He’s my brother. But, by God, we are so into our women it’s ridiculous,” said Ed. Despite their “brotherly” friendship, Chace is reportedly tired of living with Westwick in their apparently filthy apartment. He told his agent to find the perfect bachelor pad and to spare no expense.
Top Gun’s top babe is a lesbian
Fifty-one year old Kelly McGillis has come out in an interview with Shewired.com. McGillis, who made her name alongside Tom Cruise in Top Gun, has always denied rumours of being a lesbian. “I had a lot of things happen that convinced me God was punishing me because I was gay. That was a hard process,” she said in the interview. The actress has two teenage daughters and is twice-divorced. When asked if she’d rather date a man or a woman, the now single Kelly replied: “Definitely a woman. I’m done with the man thing.” She said that it took her a long time to come to terms with the fact that she is gay. “I think that was an ongoing process from the time I was probably 12,” she said, “it was a long arduous journey for me.” Despite a lesbian love scene in the movie The Monkey’s Mask and an appearance on the hit show The L Word, Kelly continued to deny the gay rumours. “Life is a journey and it’s about growing and changing and coming to terms with who and what you are and loving who and what you are,” she said.
Brad Pitt lifts sumo wrestler
Brad Pitt’s endorsement of Japanese cell phone company Softbank comprises of several commercials, the latest of which features Pitt as a sumo wrestler’s umbrella holder. The 45 year old actor was seen on set holding up the sumo wrestler, who was already supported by four suspension wires. Previous ads include Brad wearing an infamously hideous matching yellow terrycloth outfit – fedora, 50’s button-down shirt and pants. Perhaps Brad should stick to sexier roles in the future…
Arsenal’s striker drops his pants
Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner drowned his sorrows after a 3-1 defeat by Manchester United this week. The footballer was then photographed staggering out of a London club with his pants down to his ankles. His drunken behaviour caused an uproar, and a statement issued by him said: “no matter how disappointed I was, it does not excuse my behaviour later in the evening. I may be young but my actions were a poor error of judgment and something I deeply regret. I want to apologise to the Club and the fans for letting them and myself down.” He regrets it… we certainly don’t…
Paula Abdul gets fooled and releases a single
Paula Abdul is attempting to re-ignite her singing career by releasing a new single, Here for the Music, from her forthcoming still-untitled CD. But more importantly, the Idols judge was apparently totally fooled into an interview with Sacha Baron Cohen’s creation Bruno. “Paula was totally fooled. She bought into his character and to this day isn’t aware she was fooled,” an insider said. Bruno, about Cohen’s wacky gay Austrian fashion designer character, ridicules Paula and many other unaware Americans in the film; set to be released July 10th in America.
Robert Pattinson’s steamy man-on-man smooch
Twilight-hunk Robert Pattinson locks lips several times with Javier Beltram in the indie flick Little Ashes. The film chronicles the troubled life of artist Salvador Dali and his tortured love affair with Federico Garcia Lorca. A raunchy naked swimming session leads to some serious man-loving in a clip that has been released online. It appears Pattinson realised the next step for a glittering vampire had to be a hot gay love scene.
Little Britain to be made into a feature film
The creators and stars of the cult hit Little Britain, Matt Lucas and David Walliams, have just finished penning a script for a film verion of the series that sets the action in Las Vegas. “We’re really happy with it, but the whole film project is still kind of dependent on how much we can raise our profiles in America” says Walliams. The show, which had a spin-off US version in 2008, is famous for it’s off-the-wall characters and their catchphrases, all played by the duo with the help of tons of make-up and costumes. Walliams says “We do have some new ideas for characters — a mum feeding her son to make him the fattest boy in America, a psycho American girlfriend, but without the bunnies, a woman who has everything Disney themed, and some annoying Scottish air hostesses.”
