While most people know Joburg-born television stud Aidan Bennetts for his role as one of Top Billing’s DIY handymen, alongside Jeannie D and Janez Vermeiren (Mambaonline’s 2007 Sexiest Man winner) few knows that he’s also a man of the arts. This stud, blessed with a stunning bod, has a Bachelors’ degree in Fine Art from the University of Cape Town and has transferred his artistic sensibility into his own interior and product design studio. Aidan has also appeared in numerous international modelling campaigns for brands such as Swatch, Levis, Honda, and Audi. |

Our list wouldn’t be complete without Mr. Gay South Africa 2009 and Mr. Gay World 2010, Charl Van Den Berg. The 28 year old hottie surprised the gay world by taking the global title in Oslo in February; especially considering that it was the first time that South Africa entered the competition. We were furthermore thoroughly impressed by his honest, unashamed and eloquent response to revelations of online nudie pics. This former restaurant-manager and aspirant musician, who recently moved to Joburg from Cape Town, has completed a series of drama classes; further confirming his ambition to make it in the entertainment world. Sadly (for the rest of us) he’s off the singles scene and happily involved. |

Model and entrepreneur Denton Blomquist first made a major splash in 2006 as a finalist in the Men’s Health Look competition, which is not only about good looks but also about taking on various endurance events. That’s something that the sports-mad 32 year old excels in. He loves his dogs and intends to one day cycle from Cape to Cairo. Recently, Denton appeared on the cover of Men’s Health with his fiancé, Top Billing television presenter Lyndall Jarvis. In an interview he confirmed that, in his opinion, size does indeed count. very biased!. Not disputing that these guys here are quite sexy but I also wonder who sat down and compiled this list.
So many lilly-white faces and just a SPRINKLE of faces of colour just to be politically correct.
It’s amazing what white people define as black beauty … there’s such a pool of sexy men of colour out there, I’m so amazed that only 3 are on the list.
Who compiled this list? Was it a panel of only white voters? And let’s be honest, had Lunga not been a Calvin Klein underwear model, he wouldn’t even be on the list. Would he still be on the list if he was, for example, a radio DJ on KAYA FM?
Maybe it’s about time we became more inclusive when compiling these lists so that they are truly representative of what ALL gay/bi men out there think and not just a select few who were perving over men on the latest issue of a mainly-white publication.

Why is there always one that has t complain about stuff like that. If 80% of the guys where black you would have moaned because they didn’t make it 100%. So please, hold your negative comments for yourself and enjoy the hot guys that are on the list. I am think each and every guy that made the list is hot, and its going to be difficult for me to decide on just one.
i agree. This list has a few new and old faces which are quite cute, but is definitely not reprehensive of our current times. There are a lot of men we miss in this list.

U have a point BUT. What you must keep in mind is that all of the people listed in these competitions have to give permission to be included. And sadly, many men decline the honour.
Instead of criticising and moaning, why dont you compile a detailed list, get involved, state your case and present it to the publishers. I know they would welcome any input, comments, suggestions. Criticism is always easy from the sidelines. Constructive and productive input is a lot more beneficial to all in our community! That’s of course if we all want to be part of a community? But thats a different discussion!
It was an observation rather than a criticism, and I do understand the absurdity of living in a country with equal rights for gays where celebrities are still too afraid to come out. Definately not knocking the looks of the guys in the poll, and I will no doubt cast my vote

Racism or Demographics?. Oh come off it! Go through the guys on Gaydar at any time and count the blacks, coloureds, whites, indians (poor indians are not represented at all, and some of them are really hot). Then compute the percentages. Now ask yourself how many of the blacks are MORE interested in getting a white playmate than another black and do the same with the whites wanting black, and move those over to the other side and recalculate the percentages. I think you’d find that the selection is probably weigthed to the black side when compared to the demographics and preferences of the average user profile (just so we can be politically correct). Personally I would have liked to see more young guys with slightly less muscle (WHAT? Straight guys perv over models that are 14 years old and no-one considers this aberrant, it is the function of young people to look pretty, while us older guys are supposed to have more wisdom after all.) Anyhow, I know that this is not the preference of the majority, so why complain? Why not have some unknowns thrown into the mix too?
RACE. There is always going to be someone who CORRECTLY points out that the list is not inclusive and representative and there will always be the irritated WHITEY that complains about the RACE CARD! (Incorrectly)
