OSCAR NOMINEE SUPPORTS GAY MARRIAGE

Sunrise and Mark Ruffalo

Oscar nominated actor Mark Ruffalo and his wife Sunrise have come out in support of same-sex marriage.

The couple appear in a video for the Human Rights Campaign’s “New Yorkers for Marriage Equality” campaign.

In the video, the couple say: “We’re raising our three kids to treat everyone with dignity and respect. We believe everyone should have the right and the chance to be with the person they love – straight or gay.”

The video campaign aims to promote marriage equality in the state of New York and can be viewed online at www.hrc.org/NY4marriage.

Ruffalo has been nominated in the category of Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in the film The Kids Are All Right.

He plays the anonymous sperm donor and biological father of two children who cause havoc by finding him and introducing him into their lesbian-headed family.

Other celebrities that have taken part in the Marriage Equality video campaign include Joan Rivers, Barbara Bush, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, Whoopi Goldberg, Fran Drescher, Moby and Julianne Moore.
