RYAN PHILLIPPE’S GAY KISS
A deleted kiss between actors Ryan Phillippe and Breckin Meyer from the film 54 has been posted online for the first time.
The scene was removed by the studio from the 1998 movie, which focused on a bartender (Phillippe) at the infamous 1970s New York City nightclub Studio 54.
It’s thought that the intimate moment was cut to strengthen the character’s relationship with a female character played by Neve Campbell and to downplay his bisexuality.
The scene was only seen once before at a “secret” screening in 2008 in Los Angeles at which director Mark Christopher’s original version of the film was shown.
In 2010, Phillippe spoke to the Advocate about the deleted kiss.
“I don’t know how big of an appetite there is for it, but I would certainly support a DVD release of that version. Breckin [Meyer] and I were a bit sad that nobody got to see us kiss,” said Phillippe.
A very low quality version of the scene has now been posted online, sparking calls for the director’s cut of 54 to be released. Watch it below.
I think that it is awesome! Life is about Truth…live it! Recently I was single and joined a Gay dating site, only to find that more than half the guys on there were married and looking for NSA fun with other guys while their wives and girlfriends are at work! I think it is time society wakes up to the fact that all men are bisexual in their make up and only 25% acknowledge this fact, The other 50% do all of it in secret and cover up their guilt over being a normal man by gunning homosexuality and pretending that they are straight! Nature wins! Stop lying to yourselves and your partners!!!
