There’s Hollywood casting buzz that silver screen legend Clint Eastwood’s gorgeous son is a contender for the coveted role of Christian Grey.

The 27-year-old Scott Eastwood is reportedly one of five actors being considered to play the male lead in the film version of E.L. James’ erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

The renewed hunt for an actor to portray Christian Grey follows Charlie Hunnam, who was cast in the role last month, recently dropping out of the film.

“What is all this talk about 50 shades of grey?? What do you all think?? Let me know. #hype #eastwoodlivin,” tweeted Eastwood last week, fuelling the rumours.

A source told the Just Jared gossip site that Eastwood “is one of five actors being considered”.

Other actors favoured by fans of the book to take the role include Ian Somerhalder and Matthew Bomer.

The chosen star will play opposite Dakota Johnson who earlier scooped the role of the female lead, Anastasia Steele.

Eastwood, who is also a model, has appeared in a number of films, including playing South Africa Springbok rugby star Joel Stransky in his father’s 2009 movie Invictus.

He is set to star in next year’s Fury, with Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf.
