WOULD YOU LIKE A GAY SLUR WITH YOUR PIZZA?

A group of gay customers in an Italian pizzeria were shocked to receive not only a bill after their meal but also a gay slur.

The four men ate pizzas and had drinks and coffee totalling around 52 Euros at the restaurant in Taranto last month.

When they ordered the bill it arrived not only listing the items they’d consumed but also with the words “mi raccomando so ricchioni” (“I warn you, they’re faggots”) printed on it.

It’s thought that this may have been intended to “warn” other customers about the men being gay and could have mistakenly been included in their bill.

“Initially we did not want to believe our eyes,” one of the men told the Italian site Brindisioggi.

“We just went to the owner of the restaurant to ask for an explanation. He was speechless and apologised on behalf of the waiter.”

The man revealed that he was contacted by the owner the next day with news that the waiter had been dismissed. He added that despite this, “we will not be back in that place again.”
