Two of the hottest male stars on the vampire series True Blood have finally shared a long-awaited man-on-man scene.
After seven seasons of the hit show, it turns out that actors Ryan Kwanten (who plays Sherriff Jason Stackhouse) and Alexander Skarsgard (vampire Eric Northman) have never actually shared a scene with just the two of them.
Now, producers have finally got the two hunky stars together in a steamy sensual dream scene. And in line with the show’s homoerotic edge and loyal gay following, the two don’t hold back.
“There was word on the street that a scene was coming, and to be honest, Alex and I had been — not necessarily begging to work together — but we’d been pondering the thought, ‘What if we were ever put in a scene where it was just the two of us? What would happen?’ And this is what our illustrious writers came up with,” revealed Kwanten to TVLine.
He added: “We’re just there to have fun and to stay true to the characters. Thinking back to this particular scene, I just remember Alex and I laughing a lot.”
The screening of the episode in the US coincided with Gay Pride celebrations in many of the country’s major cities this past weekend.
In South Africa, the seventh and last season of True Blood is now on M-Net Series Showcase on Mondays at 22:30. This episode will be aired on Monday 7 July.
